Granada is a beautiful municipality and a Spanish city and is the capital of the province with the same name. It is situated between the Genil River and the foothills of Sierra Nevada.

The most emblematic monument in Granada is the Alhambra, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1984. It consists of a defensive area known as the Alcazaba, another residential area and a representative one which is the Nazari Palace and finally a recreational area known as the Generalife.
